The soft security-military defense model of Iran based on the speech of the supreme leader

Abstract

Islamic Republic of Iran’s military-security soft defense discourse is evolving
and making a particular headway due to the enemy’s all-out soft war against the
Islamic Republic of Iran. Supreme learder’s concerns and emphasis regarding
the enemy’s all-out soft war against the Islamic Republic of Iran having a high
priority and the methods of countering it have contributed to the formation of
this article in the mind of its writer. Therefore; the issue of this research was
that the Islamic Republic of Iran has not yet presented a comprehensive and
localized model to counter the enemy’s soft military- security threats and neither
has it shown any offensive measures against the enemy in soft war domain.
In this article, the main objective of developing the IRI soft defense model
in military-security dimension based on the Supreme learder’s discourse,
has been defined in accordance to this discourse and the question of what
the main model of IRI military-security soft defense is like and it was also
further designed in this regard.
The present research is of applied, developmental and fundamental type
which has utilized a qualitative method. This research has been conducted
using data-based studies.In this research, the supreme leader’s discourse
has not been fully addressed but the researcher has addressed the entries of
the discussion through extracting 145 key words related to military- security
soft defense with the help of experts. In the course of carrying out this article,
the researcher attempted to seek the views of 20 experts and elites through
preparing and distributing questinnaires entitled “hypothetical sensitivity”
during 4 stages in a purposeful manner up to hypothetical saturation. To
achieve the desired model, the researcher has used the data-based theory
for the Islamic studies conducted by Mr. Khanfir and et.al which is a fourfaceted
model including effective factors, stage-setting variations, deterring
variations and conclusions and consequences.
