Abstract

The limitation of fresh water resources in the world and the increasing consumption of water have led to the expansion of water into the field of competition between countries and groups, and water plays an essential role in shaping the socio-political relations of groups. Increasing demand for water, changing patterns of consumption, pollution, loss of natural resources, and the development of deserts have pushed humanity to the global water crisis. Iran's sub-prime position toward Afghanistan in the east and the high status of the Iraqi-western proportions, as well as water resources in Iran, have significant potential and actual problems. Iran as one of the driest and semi-arid countries of the world in the Middle East is one of the countries facing water crisis and this issue is one of the main factors limiting the development of the country in the coming decades and presents significant and potentially significant problems will follow the country.  On the other hand, ignoring the reality of the complex relationship between water and security by some experts in international security, the facts indicate that scarcity of fresh water supplies can be posed as a lasting challenge in
international relations. With this in mind, this research seeks to reveal how the scarcity of fresh water resources can lead to national and international conflicts. The present paper is based on descriptive-analytical and library-based methods,
and will examine different aspects of the country's hydropolytics in different ways and its impact on national security
