Explaining the Sustainable National Security Indicators of the Islamic Republic of Iran Focusing on Economic Growth; Applying Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy

Abstract

Security is the infrastructure of all aspects of a society's life, so policymaking in order to promote economic growth centered on domestic production is one of the most important categories of the Second Step Declaration of the Islamic Revolution. In this study, while addressing the issue of sustainable national security, its effective dimensions in creating and improving economic growth have been addressed, and the main goal of conducting it is to identify and rank the most important factors influencing economic growth based on sustainable national security. The implementation method is descriptive and the tool used is a questionnaire. The statistical population of the research experts consists of four experts in the field of security and economy in the country. Considering the time approach of the present study, it should be acknowledged that it is a descriptive type of research with a survey method. First, by reviewing the Second Step Statement of the Islamic Revolution and documentary studies in the statements of the Supreme Leader of the Revolution on security, the influential indicators and sub-indicators in the aforementioned research were extracted. Then, the fuzzy hierarchical analysis method was used with the help of a paired comparison questionnaire to weight the indicators and prioritize them. The results of ranking the indicators using the fuzzy hierarchical analysis method showed that economic security has the highest importance in economic growth and political security and socio-cultural security were recognized with a lower importance coefficient.
